What equipment will your presenter(s) need?
We use PowerPoint as part of our presentations. Either you are able to provide projectors or interactive whiteboards with a computer or our presenters will provide their own. A whiteboard or flipchart is also required.
What is the maximum number of students permitted in a presenters group?
We regularly work with groups of 50, however presenters are able to work with larger groups in appropriate accommodation.
How should the furniture be laid out?
All students should be seated at tables and facing the presenter rather than each other. The ‘horseshoe’ is an ideal layout where numbers and space permit.
Do Learning Performance Seminars provide students with any resource material?
Yes, each student is provided with an interactive workbook to use throughout the day. This becomes a valuable resource that the students take away from the seminar with their own personal references on how they learn and which strategies they will use.
Do Learning Performance Seminars ask for a deposit payment?
Yes, a deposit is requested to secure the seminar date. If your schedule changes we will do our best to move the booking to a time that suits you.
What is the role of teaching staff on the day?
A member of staff is required to sit with each presentation group for health and safety reasons. They can also help with discipline and with pupils who have learning difficulties. Teachers who accompany a group for the full day benefit by knowing what the students have covered and can encourage them to apply their newly learned skills in the classroom.
