What's it all about? - program objectives.
In the first few years of high school the student’s role needs to change from “passive” learner to “active” learner.
In other words, the student needs to start participating in the learning process by developing an intrinsic interest in
what is being learned, by searching or meaning, by interrelating new information with previous knowledge, and by taking
responsibility for his or her success or lack of it. But we can’t just tell the student to “be active”. How should they
be active? How can they participate?
The program’s objective is to provide simple, practical and effective strategies which the student can use to
“participate” in any given learning situation; to assume personal control and responsibility and to generate some
excitement in the process.
